Kedron Lions Trophy Presentations and Family Picnic Day

Thanks to all of you who used to reserve tickets for the Kedron Lions Trophy Day.  If you collected your wristbands on Grand Final night, you will be able to go straight in to Splash (Blue Fit).  If you do not have your wristbands, please collect them from the Kedron Lions table which will be at the entry on Sunday morning.

We have around 300 people coming on Sunday, so to help things run smoothly, please take note of the following information.

“SPLASH” is also known as “Bluefit” and “Chermside Aquatic Centre”

ADDRESS:  375 Hamilton Road, Chermside (street entry is via Kittyhawk Drive)

TIME: 10AM – 2PM (Gates will open at 9.30am, slides operate from 10.00am)

PLEASE BRING:  A picnic rug or camp chairs, sunscreen and hats.  There are some shade sails in the area reserved for our function, but probably not enough shade for all (nearly 300) of us!

FOOD & DRINK:   We encourage you to bring a family picnic to enjoy on the lawns which have been reserved for our function.  There is also a cafe which serves a range of items such as burgers and hot dogs.

PARKING: There is some parking at the front of Splash.  Parking is also available at Kedron Wavell Services Club (Splash’s friendly neighbours) and in surrounding streets. Parking at Westfield will incur a fee after 3 hours.

CANCELLATION:   In the event the function needs to be deferred due to severe weather, this information will be issued via email.  The function will not be deferred due to passing showers.

TROPHY PRESENTATIONS:  Due to the very large number of attendees this season, we will be splitting the Trophy Presentations into two sessions:

10.30AM  Under 10s.  All U10 players will be receiving a trophy.

11.30AM  Under 11s, Under 12s, Intermediates, and A, B and C Grade players.  Two players in each team will be awarded trophies in these age groups.

Please ensure that you (or your KL child) is in the function area at least 15 minutes prior to the relevant time for presentations for your (their) age group.  It will be hard to receive a trophy if you are half way up the stairs to the slides!  We have also divided the presentations into two sessions so that each group is able to enjoy the facilities while the other group’s presentations are taking place.

NB:  KEDRON LIONS UNDER 15 MEMBERS must be accompanied by an adult for the whole period they are at the function.  If you are unable to remain with your child, then please ensure that you organise another parent to supervise them.  Kedron Lions Committee Members and Coaches have other responsibilities on the day and are unable to supervise the pool area.

We look forward to a great day on Sunday!
